The Catholic Church Is Underground Now, Awaiting the Counter-Reformation 2.0 (PS added)

Friends, Amici, a Chairde,

One reads and hears it across the board of the Catholic bandwidth: The Bergoglians are getting ever more desperate. From ordaining women to the priesthood to the Vatican claiming Traditional Catholics are about to take over the Church, the false "Synodal" Church bigshots are panicking. All this is birthing just before "Pope Francis" and his henchmen (Cardinals Roche, Kissy Fernandez, etc.) drop the hammer on the Vetus Ordo, the Mass of the Ages.

• A time comes in any war when one side realizes they've lost, that continued fighting is futile. Yet they often keep fighting insanely on: Ukraine has lost its war with Russia, most clearly, and the Battle of Gettysburg proved the South lost its war against the Union. The entry of the USA into World War I knelled the end for Germany, though they actually probably knew they lost as early as the end of 1914. The Vatican II types, now Synodal, surely know they've lost, and prove it by lashing out impotently. 

But for Now, the Truth Is, Real Catholicism Is Going Back to the Catacombs to Await the Synodal Church's Death Convulsions

The excellent Father David Nix has an important epistle here that everyone should read. Father Nix, a diocesan hermit under Canon 603, explains how more and more diocesan priests are willing to retreat from parish life, as he did, into the hermit life so they can say the Traditional Latin Mass and offer the Traditional sacraments. Father Nix writes in part: 

"I know it’s not what most of you lay people want to hear for your good priests, but there are priests much less extreme than me that are saying the best priests are now leaving the priesthood and getting laicized because they can’t take the wokeness from the Vatican anymore. Better to be a hermit like me than get laicized because of an infiltration in the Church."

Meanwhile, Fr. John Zuhlsdorf posted an article here about laity-prepared home chapels in which the TLM can be said after Bergoglio orders all dioceses to cancel the TLM.

Some blame the Germans, as here where the Rhine flows into and floods out of the Tiber, but the truth is the rot, the stinking septic tank overflow has deeper roots. It is essentially, quintessentially, Protestant. 

• Protestantism always constituted a desacralization of the world and the Faith that the Reformers thought necessary to be more purely "spiritual". Wasn't that the argument for iconoclasm during the post Vatican II period? In the 16th century as well as today, mostly zealous young academics thought all the beauty, liturgy, the "lived holiness" and striving for holiness of the Traditional European Christian culture "cluttered up" their purely spiritual "leap of faith". They possessed a failed anthropology. What they failed to realize is that humans, being psycho-somatic unities, naturally sanctify and "clutterify" their physical world. "All that clutter" constituted flying buttresses holding up the Faith's walls and colorful windows. They knocked them down, in an iconoclastic frenzy in order to get at "the real Faith", and the Faith collapsed. After a few generations, Protestantism of any stripe leads to atheism, and atheism leads to nihilism, a civilization surrendering itself to Muslim hordes who themselves do no have faith, but only submission. (Judaism is about inheritance, Islam about submission, and Christianity is about Faith.)

In this context, a review of Gavin Ashenden's arguments about the "decoy" Anglican Church and the Reformation is very definitely worth the review. In the same way, the Vatican II Church was a decoy intended to lead us to ever deeper Protestantization. It was for "our own good", the Reformers thought.

All this indeed conjures the English Reformation and stories of home Masses, priest holes, and St. Edmund Campion (1540-1582) and so many like him. I wonder whether we'll have anyone like Cardinal William Allen (1532-1594), who organized the underground missions to Tudor England. Perhaps Bergoglio's attempt to cancel the Mass of the Ages will finally bring about the avalanche of grace needed to truly start a Counter-Reformation 2.0, and raise up new Campions and Allens. We can pray for that avalanche. Archbishop Viganò might well be the start. Please Cardinal Müller, please Cardinals Burke and Sarah and Zen and Bishop Schneider! Join Archbishop Viganò! Bergoglio cannot resist you all together!

• Of course, they fear for their lives. It turns out that Cardinal Pell was quite likely smothered to death; that's how a corpse gets its nose broken. We have as evil a crew in the Vatican now as Rome sported in the 10th century!
  

The Dawning of Our Reality Now Floods Us with Blinding Truth

Despite the odds, and with Islam about to engulf us, I write this with some degree of the Virtue of Hope. We know now – now with the cascading revelations since Bergoglio was installed as "pope", and certainly since the death of Benedict XVI, after which The Ogre, as I call him (and I am being charitable, actually) "took the gloves off" and really began whipping the Catholic Church unmercifully – that the real Catholic Church is underground. Bergoglio & Company have driven it underground. 

• But it was in the process of being driven off the stage and into the wings (as it were) since the Vatican II Council threw out the original schemas for documents that John XXIII's curia had prepared, and then went off the rails with the unreadable but malleable pseudo-"pastoral" cum absolutely-most-dogmatic-of-all-time documents it did promulgate, documents that apparently cancel all the previous Church councils entirely. (So bogus, so laughable, so cretinous.)
  
• This was a process, I say, hard to fully comprehend at first, especially for Catholics, both clergy and laity, who were so vested in the Vatican I idea of Church as to resist seeing it. 
• Even Archbishop Lefebvre took a few years for it to fully dawn on him. Same with Archbishop Viganò, though for him it took decades. John Paul II ever and always resisted seeing it, stubbornly, mulishly. Benedict – a Vatican II insider and ardent, though more middle-of-the-road, reformer – finally grasped what was happening and felt forced to counter it – which is why he himself was "countered" in the end. At least his poor 'hermeneutic of continuity" is well and truly dead. (If you don't grasp that, Bergoglio will flog you a bit more to get the point across.)
  
• Now, with Bergoglio the Junta of One, all the illusions are swept away. "Bergi" is Emperor Diocletian come again, and just as with Diocletian 1800 years ago, the Argentinian has rescinded what previous emperors (popes) granted us. We have to go back to the old Vatican II pantheon, they say, but few will actually do that.
  

The Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

Were you to posit the Church as a theater and a stage, it serves as a drama house whose function was to put on the Traditional Latin Mass. This is not surprising as all drama originated as religious re-enactments, from Ancient Greek drama to medieval drama flourishing during the centuries immediately leading up to Shakespeare and his Spanish contemporary, Lope de Vega. The great Cathedral churches, whether Hagia Sophia in Constantinople or St. Peter's in Rome, or the Romanesque and later Gothic and still later the Baroque churches in Europe, all were built to be stages on which the Sacrifice of Calvary God makes present to us, and the veil between Earth and Heaven His angels draw back to make us all present at the eternal sacrifice and "coming forward" of the Lamb that was slain in Revelation (Rev 5:6). No, Protestants, no! Christ is NOT re-sacrificed, but God melts away time and distance so Our Lord's one sacrifice is brought bodily to us.

This is a miracle that all the Apostolic-founded Churches embrace and teach and celebrate in as much holiness and glory as they can muster. Protestants formally reject it, and are thus more akin to Jews and Muslims than they are to Apostolic Christians. To see this miracle, to comprehend it, to embrace and partake of it is a gift, a charisma of the Faith that saves us. But the Vatican II Reformers, the Modernists led by their Masonic allies, fight against it. Protestant-like, they retreat from this central sacrament of the New Covenant, the Seventh Covenant God has established more firmly than He established the first six, because this one God the Father established with His Son.

The Protestantizing Vatican II tried to reduce the Mass, break it down, emasculate it because...

The Heavenly Liturgy is glorious and noble and transcendent: simply real beyond our poor powers to emulate, and yet, by the grace of God, we can participate in it ourselves. The Holy Spirit guided us in all Truth (St. John 16:13) and called us to participate as well as we could, hence the noble traditional liturgies of East and West. But Vatican II, the Modernist cradle of the Ape of the Church, grew a baby – a non-Catholic Changeling Church – and that baby took a long generation to grow, now going on a Biblical lifetime. And Bergoglio serves as the midwife. The Synodal Church being established by the Modernist, non-believing hierarchy, is being finalized by the Synodal process, which merely stands in for a new Church Council, a "Vatican III", that will soon put paid to the True Church. Or that's the intention and reason for the endless attacks on the Vetus Order, the Traditional Latin Mass, and all the Vatican claptrap I noted in the first paragraph of this essay.

That new church is a different church, so of course it has different worship AND cannot tolerate the old, actual Catholic, worship. As this becomes ever more obvious – day-by-day it stands more glaringly obvious – they try harder and harder to crush it, Diocletian-style. As I have written before, they've abolished every discipline in the Faith except one, and that one discipline they demand we give them unreservedly because they are about to drop their guillotine blade: obedience. 

Obedience

But we are not required to obey bad laws or bad rulers. That's true in the religious sphere as in the secular. And in the latter, people are now realizing elections are useless. 

1. England recently held an important election, but voting is useless. The pro-English national Reform Party garnered 14% of the vote yet only gets 5 seats in Parliament; the Lib-Dem Party, a mild Labor Party knock-off, got 12% of the vote and yet seats 70 new members. 
2. The people of France tried to elect Marine Le Pen's party to power in the National Assembly of France, but the Leftists rioted in the streets and Macron and the Communists connived to fix it so that Le Pen's party is blocked from power. 
3. The Demo(Demon)crats in the U.S., stunned by Donald Trump's victory in 2016, stole the election in 2020; their old trick: they stole the 1960 election, and stole the 1972 election from Nixon after his incredible blowout victory. They tried to steal the 2000 election, too.
   
4. Today, their zombie candidate – a subpar idiot and carnal maggot when he had his right mind and now is a walking corpse – as was Democrat Franklin Roosevelt in the 1944 election, actually – will probably be removed, but the Democrats have no one credible to replace him.
   
5. In the same pus-filled vein, the Catholic Church has been taken over by carnal deviants and the most venal, evil partisans of Hell, slowly but surely, since the1960s. They are not Catholics. Not Christians. Yet they demand our obedience.
   

But we are not required to obey these bad rulers and their misrule. St. Thomas Aquinas leads a long list of theologians saying so. However the secular political issues will be solved, if they are solved, at least for the religion we can support Father David Nix and Archbishop Viganò, and all the new Edmund Campions and William Allens whom the Lord God raises up for us.

May the Counter-Reformation 2.0 come quickly, oh Lord!

The Ogre Pope keeps blowing things up, which I take as a sign of madness and desperation. Telling Muslims "all religions to be respected, free from proselytism" (June 26, 2024) is a renunciation of Our Lord's Great Commission, and yet another anti-Christian heretical kick in the head provided by Bergoglio. And telling that to Muslims, who have NEVER respected other religions or were ever "free from proselytism" is just cross-eyed cognitive dissonance. Bergoglio goes in for open cesspool lies, that's certain. The heretic witnesses against himself, daily now, basically. And can there be anyone who still cause this guy "pope"?

How to Break Free from the Changeling (Synodal) Church

Well, Friends,

The fox is among the chickens now. Bergoglio, the anti-pope (definitely an anti-Christ is his miserable way; at least a Changeling "pope") has let the fox in among the hens. I would love to ask Dr. Peter Kwasniewski, perhaps the most famous (amongst Trads in the States) of the "Francis is really pope!" apologists, "Well, Professor, Bergoglio has just gutted the Catholic Church like gutting a fish; he's opened it with a sharp knife titled Fiducia supplicans to endless discrimination lawsuits, as "Gay, Inc." will be providing "couples" calling conservative parishes asking for a "blessing (with flowers, invited guests, special music, the works – but of course it isn't marriage, wink-wink, nod-nod) and who will be absolutely geared to sue the cassock off any priest who denies them. They can legally raise all Hell (literally) via Fiducia supplicans. So, Kwasniewski, what sayest thou now?"

Not very charitable of me, and I'm sure the Prof is a very nice man. But, his fence-sitting has betrayed us. 

John Zmirak at The Stream has sharply harped on this homosexuals-suing-the-Church here, adding his voice to many, many others who have argued this is some way. Myself, I would ask readers to pause a moment and reflect: How much money have the homosexuals cost us? Sure, they've cost the Changeling Church millions of members who have left or are leaving in utter disgust, and they've cost the Church her priceless reputation, respect, and MOST OF ALL, T.R.U.S.T. 

But just consider how much actual cashola they've cost the Church. One study I saw from 1986, I think it was, stated that only 26 percent of Roman Catholic clergy were heterosexual. Homosexual men prey on, or if somehow they resist, still lust heartily on, teenage boys. Grown men and teenage boys is the classic paradigm. It was that way in Ancient Greece's Golden Age (adult men had to train teens in the art of war, using weapons, etc., and over time this morphed into carnal activity). It was that way in China during periods of decadence, and it is that way in the Arab Muslim world, as first detailed for Westerners by Richard Francis Burton, the famous English 19th century explorer. 

So put them in among boys and the lusts of such perverts will wear down even the strongest willed of them. No one trying to break the chains of alcoholism takes a job in a liquor store or a bar. Sodomites have cost the Church literally billions of dollars – and again, the spiritual and morale disaster these degenerates have cost us is beyond staggering, and beyond counting..

Even the new Mass, the Novus Ordo, is effeminate, and encourages a flashy "performance" from the Cranmer's table (er, a.k.a. "altar"). It is like it was designed for narcissists.

Now Bergoglio has opened the floodgates to simply endless litigation and the "cancellation" of endless numbers of what true-believing, orthodox heterosexual priests remain.

And of course, here's the kicker: the laity won't remain. They've left Catholicism since 1965 by 100s of millions, literally. But now it is the turn of the remainders. The Remnant. You are a father or a mother of kids you want to raise in righteousness (justice, God-fearing and God-respecting), and after much searching you found a TLM or a N.O. that at least truly tries to be orthodox. And BANG! the bishop removes your parish priest for Non-Compliance to Gay Inc.'s demands. What are you going to do? By DEFINITION, the replacement can't be orthodox or a real believer (or he would fear God too much to do such a blasphemous thing). Solution: Vote with Your Feet. Leave. Soon, the mainstream Church will only have "Church Ladies" (a.k.a. "Karens"). The carnal vampires that are 'Gay, Inc." certainly won't fill the pews. Haha, NO ONE in his right mind would think they would, even for a second.

So, Amici, my friends, the only question is:

How do we break the "Roman Catholic Church" free from the Synodal "Changeling" Church? Will Bishop Strickland be the only one (I doubt it, but Grace accomplishes miracles) to stand up and say, "I announce and promulgate, as heir of the Apostles, that Jorge Mario Bergoglio has abandoned the chair of Peter and the See of Rome, and my banishment is null and void, and I call ALL the "cancelled" priests to me to accept faculties that I will bestow on them to confect the sacraments, either by the Novus Ordo or the ancient, glorious Vetus Ordo."

So, who will this be? Strickland? Schneider? Schneider's Archbishop, Tomasz Peta? Some African bishop, or bishop's conference? Probably one of the latter.

However it is to be done, it has to be done. And the sooner the better. No more Professor Kwasniewski fence-sitting.

Abortion, the Jewel in Satan's Crown, and the Novus Ordo Mass

Abortion is the jewel in Satan's Crown. It's a "twofer". It damns the people involved in it and it kills a human being in the womb. Why, why do we allow it at all? In the U.S.A., that murder rate since 1973, comes to about 65 million dead babies now. 

Think of that. It's nearly unbelievable. But it is true.

If nothing else, abortion conveniently saves the demons from having to temp yet another human to go to Hell. (In the U.S. as noted, 65 million fewer temptations.) But it also spreads, metastasizes cancer-like, a thick, nearly impenetrable damnation through the human societies that tolerate it. It damns from the people immediately involved all the way through to legislators and judges who give it their (dare I say it) "blessings". 

Background

The human condition in the Western World was going from bad to worse previous to the Roe v Wade decision in 1973. U. S. Supreme Court decisions going back the 1950s, such as the 1957 Roth v the United States, began to give pornography a leg up in the culture wars, and the following year's, One, Inc. v. Olesen, is considered "landmark" in the ascent of homosexuality's rule over us. One ignorant Supreme Court justice's idiot comment about pornography, "I know it when I see it" (in 1964's Jacobellis v. Ohio) conclusively demonstrated that America's highest lawyers were moral numbskulls. 

Note: It was Justice Potter Stewart who wrote, "I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced within that shorthand description; and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so. But I know it when I see it...". Dead Justice Stewart, porn, like propaganda, is easily defined. They have no ambiguity. "Art" ambiguous, with more than one possible meaning, thus causing one to think, to ponder, to wonder. Propaganda exists to indoctrinate. Porn exists solely to titillate, however, to arouse the carnal appetites, and for no other reason. 

Today we see many of the nation's lawyers are amoral mountebanks, or simply Communist apparatchiks. The Roe v Wade decision conclusively proved they were utterly, wholly, metaphysically ignorant, as well. And I remember seeing a talk show, Peter Robinson's Uncommon Knowledge, in fact, wherein the late Justice Antonin Scalia said that natural law had absolutely no place in Supreme Court decisions!

Explains a lot, doesn't it?

All the flooding Sexual Revolution guano of the later '50s and all of the '60s culminated in abortion being given carte blanc in the U.S. Satan's jewel in the crown had been a long time being excavated and then polished, but with its enthronement, "everything went to Hell". The Church, the modern Church, the Vatican II Church was then fully born. The new, awful liturgy was enacted at the beginning of Advent in 1970. Can it be a coincidence that abortion followed exactly three years later, in January 1973?

As Fr. James Mawdsley so aptly put it, the Holy Mass suffered a horrible "transgender mutilation". That's what the Novus Ordo Mass is, a transgender mutilation of the ancient, God-grown Traditional Latin Mass, a liturgy God began founding before He created the world, and which was foreshadowed and planned and shaped for throughout the Old Testament. Now we are so far down the well that we have an anti-pope charlatan promoting (ceaselessly, desperately), what Fulton Sheen called, "The Ape of the Church", our Vatican II anti-Church. Its a "Church" where the Holy Spirit speaks, but only through committees staffed by Communist cronies of the "pope".

As for myself, I cannot help but think the Novus Ordo Mass paved they way and steam-rolled the pavement once it was embraced, of abortion. Just one example: In the old Mass, the TLM, the priest makes the Sign of the Cross 70 times, many of those at the altar over the unconsecrated and then the consecrated Host, and using the Consecrated Host. That has to carve a profound mark on the priest's soul. Wouldn't such a priest be more likely to be willing to embrace the Cross for the sake of the unborn, then, as opposed to a Novus Ordo priest, whose talky, relatively signless Mass exists to "reaffirm" and "soothe" and "accompany" his congregation? 

Every time one sins, one gives Satan a bit of authority over the sinner. Grievous, mortal sin gives Satan pretty much absolute authority. Notice how Confession is required to break it but notice how Confession isn't stressed any more? (A lot of Confessions in the Vatican II Church are held like psychological counseling sessions, face to face with the priest, etc.) How sin itself isn't stressed from the pulpit? A priest giving hell-fire and brimstone sermons will be "cancelled" if he persists.

 

Is it any wonder Satan's Jewel in the Crown shines so brightly?

Requiem for a country church, and for the larger Novus Ordo Church

I have been reading about Columbus, Ohio diocese parish closings. So much for the new bishop. He's keeping the previous bishop's plan of closing up the diocese, and dioceses are closing up and withering away across the country. And the world. One of those Columbus diocese closings is St. Bernards, a very rural, down-in-the-hills church. I write of it more below.

So, naturally, I ask:

Why don't they close up the entire Church? I'm serious. Close it up and let it blow away. They tried that during the Covid fraud, after all. Finish the job, then. Go on, go on. Close it down. That would, after all, please a lot of people.

It goes back before the Covid scamdemic, of course. The Modernists in the Church during the 1950s staged Vatican II to implement their destruction schemes, schemes they were cooking up in secret since St. Pius X tried to squash them in the early 1900s. The Modernists had merely "gone to ground"  and laid their plans. By post-WWII, they were ready. At Vatican II they took a very healthy Church: wealthy in liturgy and money, strong in its piety and its financials, timeless in dogma, filled to the brim with parishioners, and they utterly trashed it out in what, 50 years? 

Except for the TLM sector, the Church is bankrupt liturgically, with the Novus Ordo driving people out – or more precisely, boring them out of their wits – and bankrupt financially. And you know of course that's why Bergoglio sold the Chinese Catholics to the CCP, for a lot of cashola. And I assume the Church is also in hock to important Jews, who still collectively have extraordinary influence and control of the much of the banking sector most everywhere, as they do the Entertainment world and Academia and the Law (and I'm not talking about Orthodox Jews, whom the more secular types marginalize – Jews are as factionlized as Protestants). Something Trad Catholic apologists never mention is this angle. No one wants automatically be labeled an antisemite.

So sure, Communists/Socialists/sexual deviants galore, you name them, hate the Church. But then Jews as well loathe the Traditional Latin Mass because it is uncompromising about fully using Scripture, and (what today would be deemed) the "antisemitism" of St. John and St. Paul. For an example of the latter, see 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16; I guarantee you'll not find that in the Novus Order three-year cycle! It is not in the interest of any of these powerful players to see all that come back. The Catholic Church dying out and Protestantized into pieces and factions is no threat to anyone but a Catholic Church returning to its glory days is anathema to them all.  

In requiem: I always loved St. Bernard's. It is chock-full of statues! Just chock-full. It was so lovely and "exotic" a church, down there in Corning. Built by Italian immigrants who bent over backwards to make it a gem. I used to drive my mother down to Athens for lunch and then we'd come back through the hills, and always stopped at St. Bernard's and it was always unlocked. It was built for the TLM and had that liturgy been offered there for the last 50 years, Corning would be full of Catholics and producing Catholic vocations. That's just what the TLM inspires, true Catholicism. And lot of important civilizational players do not what to see that Church return.

What are they going to do with all the statues? The windows? Have a bonfire?

Also closing will be St. Bernard Church in Corning, the Church of Atonement in Crooksville, St. Francis de Sales in Newcomerstown, St. Mark Church in Lancaster, St. Mary Church in Groveport, St. Mary Church in Bremen and SS. Peter and Paul Church in Glenmont.

St. Anthony of Padua School in Columbus Grove and SS. Peter and Paul School in Wellston also will close.

Honestly, why don't they just close up the whole Vatican II Church. Put the dying carcass out of its misery. Or give these churches to the various Latin Mass groups – oh, wait, can't do that because of the anti-pope Bergoglio and his peeps and Modernist minions.

Bergoglio is working overtime to destroy the Catholic Faith. If anyone can't see that, what else can be said? What does "Bergi" have to do? Declare a Holy Duality instead of a Trinity? Add Muhammad to the calendar of saints? What? So, just close it all up now and save him the trouble.

I can testify to St. Mark's in Lancaster. Cement block building (unless they replaced that structure at some point) where the Masses were hyper (for the area) Novus Ordo fiascos. I remember the "sign of peace" taking 10 minutes as they shouting across the room, walked about shaking hands, all that. Just a joke. But the congregation were the poorer types, as well, or working folk at what remained of Anchor Hocking glass, the town's big factory. St. Bernadette's across town on the eastern side (and very hard to get to roadwise if you didn't live nearby) was for the doctors and lawyers in town. The elites. Brutally Novus Ordo in expensive design and material, it offered Masses but with all that money around, it ain't gonna get closed. We know where the bread is buttered, do we not?

Such is the ecclesiastical world in 2023.

For all of us repudiating and discarding – to the extent we can avoid it, something Bergoglio is making difficult at the moment – the hapless, never sufficiently disparaged Novus Ordo Mass, there's an essay from Dr. Peter Kwasniewski at OnePeterFive, here online that I encourage everyone to read.

Dr. K is a great defender of the Vetus Ordo, the Ancient Rite, the TLM, and I always read him with profit. Usually, my only quarrel with him revolves around whether Bergoglio (for whose pitiful soul we must all pray while he's still among the living, before it is too late for him to repent – though it is a pretty big mountain to repent: i.e. a lifetime of trashing out the Church and supporting the sexually deviant in myriad ways) is actually pope.

But leaving that issue aside, this article at OnePeterFive focuses on the infamous Sant’Anselmo professor of liturgy Andrea Grillo. Grillo has been outed as the creator of Traditiones Custodes and the subsequent liturgical garbage Bergoglio has tightened around our necks, like successive slave collars. Indeed, except for one or two individuals, Grillo is perhaps the biggest influence on Bergoglio.

The article is lengthy, but should you have interest in how the official Catholic Church (à la the "Officials" for you who know IRA history) is now so determinedly anti-TLM, well, Grillo is yer man. He's just evil. And stupid. These two estimable qualities vie in his cockroachian soul. But don't take my word for it. Read the article.

I will say that the comhrá os íseal, the scuttlebutt, that the TLM will be formally cancelled sometime next year, must come from Grillo's fevered imagination. "Grillo proposes, God disposes" ought to be a saying. Actually, Grillo is insisting it is banned already! (Read the article.) By this time next year, however, there'll be mass starvation around the world, national power outages in the "developed world", esp Europe, and social unrest on a horrendous scale. Covid vaccine mortality alone will bankrupt public and private insurance on a planetary scale. So somehow I think it will be easier than ever to dismiss Bergoglio's rantings (as indeed, Prof Kwasniewski would have us do, though not as I would, as the words of an anti-pope whom we must pray for lest he be damned).

Here is an extract from the article, a fascinating and a very revealing exchange of email Grillo had with a student; here's the student:

More and more voices, of different sensibilities, testify that the 1969 operation was truly radical, in the face of a limited conciliar mandate: from the right, as in Card. Stickler’s lengthy memoirs; and from the left, as in Fr. Gelineau’s lapidary comment: “This must be said without ambiguity: the Roman Rite as we knew it no longer exists. It has been destroyed.”

And it is precisely on account of Gelineau’s admission that I personally feel like making a concession: it is indeed true that the theorem of the two forms of the Roman Rite is fragile (to be generous) and sophistic (to be more ruthless). For the Council had called for a reform of the Roman Rite. The Consilium produced instead a “Vatican Rite” or a “Pauline Rite,” with some vestigial resemblance to the historic Roman Rite, and some superficial resemblance to some of the Council Fathers’ indications, although most were ignored de plano. Hence with a little intellectual honesty—but that is still a long way off—it will sooner or later be necessary to acknowledge that the Vatican Rite or Pauline Rite is not the Roman Rite, as indeed a forthcoming book argues.

• An excellent way of saying it. The Vatican II Council called for one thing and got another, something with "some vestigial resemblance to the historic Roman Rite, and some superficial resemblance to some of the Council Fathers’ indications." Touché. It's ridiculous, but there it is. We should have demanded they toss it back then, reject it on the spot, yet the "Vatican I Church" (from 1870 to 1962) had drilled Catholics to pray, pay, and obey. No longer. That sort of submission no longer exists much of anywhere in the Church.
  
• FWIW, I never bought into Ratzinger's spiel that two forms of the western Roman Rite existed, the "Ordinary" form and the "Extraordinary" form. Many others did not, either; anyone, in fact – me thinks – will come away with that realization who bothers to even remotely interact with the TLM Vetus Ordo. Hence the idea of a "Vatican Rite" or "Pauline Rite" seems so fitting. The N.O. is an alien thing altogether. A Changeling. As I say, it's a Methodist service with one of the N.O.'s Eucharistic prayers squeezed in.
  
• If you take time to read Grillo's responses to this student above, and another exchange Prof K provided, you realize Grillo is a parrot to Modernist notions purely ideological in nature. A high apparatchik in a dying cult. Such ideas cannot be sustained except by brute force (via KGB, Stasi, or FBI), which is precisely why Bergoglio acts the way he does.
• The near-term future is not conducive to the Novus Ordo: world-wide social stresses and economic upheavals will destroy, at long last, the "Vatican II Church", for as we saw with the ridiculous Covid lockdowns, that Church has no stuffing, no guts; it bent over showed its  butt to the dominant Grillo gorilla-brute culture of power, the fascist "boot on the human face forever" (Orwell) when what the world needed was the actual Catholic Faith, represented during the lockdowns best by the SSPX, which kept chapels open and priestly services ongoing, as much as possible. Rampaging Bergoglio is the Boar that has entered the vineyard to ravage it. How else can he be described in his insane attack on Latin Massers? Below is a cri de coeur about this from Washington D.C., and I had to pass a bit of it on. It is, of course, one of many. Very, very many.  And they're not just from D.C. as is this one below, but from Chicago and Savannah and wherever these ogres try their best to Cancel Catholicism. No other way exists to describe it. They want to cancel the Traditional Latin Mass because that IS Catholicism, the way it has been since the beginning, a long-process organic development like a great tree.

But why? Why would they care? They care because the Traditional Latin Mass threatens their "legacy", their lives' work. The Novus Ordo can't compare to it for being Catholic. Although Latin Massers are still few in number, their growth arc is amazing. All this attention accelerates that. Even an oaf like Jorge Bergoglio can see it, or at least sense it. And thus, they have become true Pharisees. For example, from what I understand, there's been a host of letters written to Wilton Gregory imploring him not to cancel the Latin Mass, etc., in D.C. Priests, too, have pleaded with him. Theologians. Professors. All sorts. To no avail. So, here's one "cry of the heart". An excerpt (it should be all highlighted):

The Mass suppression becomes effective September 21 of this year, giving TLM parishioners at churches such as Saint Mary Mother of God (where this writer has attended for over 26 years; the parish had the TLM from 1845 until 1969, then again from the mid-1980s until now) just nine weeks to pack up and say goodbye. To say goodbye to where I was married. To say goodbye to where I served as godfather for baptisms. To say goodbye to the Gregorian chant schola I have sung in for nearly three decades. To say goodbye to the church where I attended around 2,000 traditional Latin Masses, numerous baptisms, and many nuptial and Requiem Masses. To say goodbye to where I made many of my friends. To say goodbye to where TLM parishioners -- from Antonin Scalia to Pat Buchanan to Nellie Gray to James Buckley to young adults and large families -- spent countless hours at coffee and donuts socials after Sunday Masses. To say goodbye to the Blessed Karl Mass and the epicenter for March for Life TLMs. To say goodbye to my spiritual home.

How can I add anything to that? Anything to something so noble, so sad, as sad as when Virgil "poemed" the hero Aeneas exclaiming: “Sunt lacrimae rerum et mentem mortalia tangent.” “These are tears of things, and mortal matters touch the mind.”

The author of the piece above will be going across the river to the diocese of Arlington, Virginia, which "has the most amount of TLMs per parish than anywhere in the world". The author says a couple of Masses there will probably be canceled later, what with that bishop also being under pressure from the Ogre Bergoglio – I think I'm going to change that to "Bergoglio the Accursed", because that is what he is, him and Cupich and this faggot Wilton Gregory – all of them denizens of the Sodomical Modernist Hierarchy, all of them "soul-mates" of the unspeakable former Cardinal McCarrick. (And before him, there was the Satan-worshiping Joseph Bernardin, who died in late 1996.)

Honestly, this is SO spiritually putrid. So obscenely Satanic. No other word for it. (Maybe "Freemasonary"....) Again and again these bags of human sludge, seeping into damnation themselves, proudly war like Dante's Demons on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. How many souls have they lost? I reflect on it, as Odin ponders the news of his ravens, I ponder my long memory and wonder how I would have turned out differently had I had the TLM from the mid-'60s to Benedict's Summorum Pontificum (July 2007).

Does this anti-TLM rage make sense to anyone? Catholicism – not just the "Roman" Catholicism – has TWENTY-THREE rites, most of them Eastern. So, why not a 24th, the  TLM? Because they know the power of the TLM and that its return will destroy EVERYTHING they labored for. What does NOT make sense is for any Catholic of any orthodox sort to tolerate these clowns five seconds.

• Yes, on one level, this is just the last of the fading Vatican II-era prelates – Bergoglio was the first "pope" (if he's pope, I'm the Aga Khan! i.e. the Imām of the Nizari Ismāʿīli Shias) ordained a priest in the Novus Ordo rite – on their way to exist as fertilizer. Bergoglio is about already room temperature himself, it seems. So he's desperate to defecate all over the only part of the Church that is growing and faith-filled and YOUNG. He says the TLM Catholics are "rigid", "old" and all that claptrap, but the opposite is true. Everyone who is honest about the Church's situation knows this.
• So, all this hate from the Vatican (Traditionis Custodes, Archbishop Roche's degrees, his answers to Dubia that weren't even asked, and now Cupich's and Gregory's antics) constitute the detritus of the Vatican II Council as it dissipates into putrescence.
  
• And Bergoglio thinks the next pope will be "Francis II". Bergi has tried his best to ensure that, and it might happen. But any strong ruler, certainly any overbearing one, makes so many enemies that his successor often repudiates him, as Khrushchev repudiated Stalin. And Bergoglio is our Stalin. Another example is how the American public voted to "cancel" Woodrow Wilson's era as president in 1920. The whole Vatican II Era is like the last, nightmare years of the Wilsonian Regime. It will be repudiated. So, I wouldn't be in the least surprised if Bergoglio's successor removes most of all this. 
• And finally, should a Bergoglio 2.0 be elected, he'll serve as a focal point of Schism. In fact, a "conservative" pope will probably create a Schism, with heretics starting their own version of Catholicism. The Church is in Schism right now, just a not too openly declared one.
  

And another reason for optimism is that the papacy can't survive the Bergoglian Model: i.e. Tyranny, plain and simple, from Hell's dimension. If fact, it is Anarcho-Tyranny, what the Democrats/Communists in the U.S. are doing now, reigning by executive orders signed by a non compos mentis puppet. If one pope can just by fiat cancel another pope's rulings, the  papacy must collapse. That's because it only works based on Tradition, stare decisis in legal terms. Pope C has to try to support Pope B's rulings, and Pope B had to try to build directly on Pope A. But if Pope B can totally cancel the work of Pope A, then Pope C can just turn around and cancel Pope B's decisions. Utter chaos. Each new pope would create a new Church. And that is perhaps Jorge Mario Bergoglio's biggest legacy to the Catholic Church. Creating a new Church is what he's attempting. 

Most prelates have to understand that. Only the most hard-core of his followers (Cupich, Roche, the Tobin in NJ, that POS in San Diego, etc.) would go the "Full Jorge". And then another aspect to this is that just as Bergoglio the Accursed has done in China, where he has succeeded only in driving the true Catholics even deeper underground, so the TLM is not going away. This isn't the '70s. Go ahead and try to cancel it. Make the SSPX 20x the size it is now, make Dom Alcuin Reid found monasteries across Europe. He might well start a new Clunaic Reform! Go ahead.

I for one will stand up and say to Bergi's face (he could care less about me, obviously) that I reject him, his papacy, and his demands that I (or any Catholic) accept Vatican II. Dar Crom, what CATHOLIC Modernist has accepted the Vatican II documents over the past 60 years? They just ignore them and make up whatever they want in the "spirit of Vatican II". Vatican II has been made absurd by its most vocal defenders! How's that for irony?

But many, many souls will be lost, as I wrote above. They're being lost by the second. As the Great Chastisement engulfs us, we must pray for them, and one must even try to pray for the Scribes and Pharisees of today. Pray for their conversion to Catholicism before they croak. Because croak they will and they're not now Catholic, any more than is the Imām of the Nizari Ismāʿīli Shias.

Cardinl Sticker's post Vatican II Confessions, the New Mass, destruction of the TLM

Alfons Cardinal Stickler's essay a about the shock of seeing his Vatican II actual Council work being undone, indeed, eviscerated, in the later 1960s has been republished just now by the New Liturgical Movement. 

I couldn't read all of it – I just go rabid-dog crazy. Stickler and his contemporaries KNEW by 1967 that what was going down was adult male bovine excrement. They knew – precisely because they had their heads so far up Vat II's derrière – that Montini and Bugnini were screwing them over. Sticker reports on his going to see old Cardinal Benno Gut, and they sit around, like so many others, shaking their heads, wringing their hands, crying in their soup, a bunch of helpless prey for obvious mountebanks and charlatans. (And Freemasons, of course.) And Montini (if that guy's an actual saint, I'm the Prophet Muhammad – "peace be upon me") would cry around even more than the others, and complain when confronted with the Bug's liturgical realities, but never reverse the mess, and exiling the Bug to Iran was far, far, far too little too late.

Did you ever hear of the time Archbishop Lefebvre tried to actually see that miserable Montini? Montini was absolutely terrified of Lefebvre. Just terrified. And had his major lackys keep Lefebvre away until the most important one of those was on vacation and inside-the-Vatican friends of Lefebvre got him into the pope's presence. Montini had to see him briefly and was visibly in utter terror. Absolutely, utterly, comprehensibly pathetic. And Lefebvre, known for his kind demeanor, was a real man – had spent most of his career in Africa in the missions. His father had been in the Resistance and was murdered by the Nazis.

So then after "The Weeper" Montini, we get John Paul I, who got himself killed only 33 days in, and then Karol Karol Wojtyła, an actual man (imagine!) and hero against both Nazis and Commies, him they tried to bump him off three years after electing him (okay, the Russians tried it via the Bulgarians, but still), leaving him half the man he had been, going about kissing the Koran and apologizing to all and sundry, especially Jews, who took it to mean apologizing for trying to convert any Jews in the last two millenna! And then we get Benedict, Ratzinger the Intellectual, smartest man in the office since Leo III. Ratziger knows the score; he prays for protection from the wolves after he's elected, and HE gets tossed for promulgating Summorum Pontificum. And THEN THEY INSTALL BERGI! THE OGRE Peronista! This recent, pathetically written, utterly asinine new Bergoglio document, the impossible to pronounce Desiderio Desideravi, full of lies, direct lies, and repeated old hoary lies like a drunk's vomit is full of puke, as see here. 

My friends, this dying Vatican II church is one huge SNAFU mess, and its decline has happened and is happening right before our eyes. 

Just unbelievable. But reality.

Clouds of Tribulation Deepen: new Columbus, Ohio, bishop already a hopeless case...

Right off the bat, Fernandes is hopeless:

Archbishop Christophe Pierre, the apostolic nuncio to the United States, read the special letter from Pope Francis, informing everyone that the new bishop is eminently qualified and thus chosen by him, the Holy Father, to lead the Diocese of Columbus.

Well, that's a black curse from Hell on a new bishop to have that devil Bergoglio praise you, especially while the Ogre-in-Chief simultaneously crashes and burns a French bishop and an entire diocese. See a mainstream Catholic news report on that here. This is how Bergoglio treats a bishop for carefully promoting the orthodox Catholic Faith.

A longer excerpt from the The Tablet article:

Throughout these ceremonies, Bishop Fernandes beamed his trademark smile, but he took a serious tone as he addressed the congregation, stressing the urgency to bring more men into the priesthood.

“I promise to work hard for you, to spill my blood for you,” he pledged. “But I bring to your attention that this year, in the Diocese of Columbus, there will be more bishops than priests ordained.

“We need a new Pentecost to set the world on fire,” he said. “We need missionaries and priests willing to make a gift to themselves in the service of the Gospel. I ask every man, woman, and child to pray for vocations to the priesthood, especially for our diocese.”

Family, friends, priests, religious men and women, and prelates from around the U.S. filled the church to celebrate the new bishop.

Three former bishops of the diocese attended: Bishop Brennan, and Bishops Emeritus James Griffin and Frederick Campbell.

Talk about "See no evil, hear no evil, do no evil" monkeys! Wait, I insult our simian brethren.

Anyway, look at what Fernandes says:

“I promise to work hard for you, to spill my blood for you,” he pledged.

That's why you wear purple, brother, to remind you you might well be martyred. If you stand up against Bergoglio, however, you will be.

Fernandes says on:

“But I bring to your attention that this year, in the Diocese of Columbus, there will be more bishops than priests ordained.

“We need a new Pentecost to set the world on fire,” he said. “We need missionaries and priests willing to make a gift to themselves in the service of the Gospel. I ask every man, woman, and child to pray for vocations to the priesthood, especially for our diocese.”

Saith Jaques, "A fool, a fool! I met a fool i' the forest, A motley fool; a miserable world! As I do live by food, I met a fool; Who laid him down and bask'd him in the sun, And rail'd on Lady Fortune in good terms, In good set terms, and yet a motley fool. 'Good morrow, fool,' quoth I. 'No, sir,' quoth he, 'Call me not fool till heaven hath sent me fortune...". (Act II, scene vii: As You Like It)

C'mon Bishop Fernandes! A "New Pentecost"? Forsooth! John Paul II kept that mantra going till he died holding on to it, gasping out his last bit of spiritus, "A New Pentecost! It's coming! Wait for it!" Yeah, then he croaked. (Unfortunately, before his death he plucked the utterly obscure Bergoglio out of oblivion and made him a bishop. The rest, as they say, is history.

Dear Bishop Fernandes,

Your master Bergoglio before our eyes daily tries his best to destroy the Holy Mass that God has used to raise not only endless priests but hosts of saints! For nearly two millennium! (And in his spare time, the Argentine lays waste to Catholic theology.) Yet Bergoglio stomps on vocations, shuts down ordinations! Scatters individual individual priests and even religious orders who try to embrace the Traditional Latin Mass! Without mercy! He scatters them like Tiglath-Pileser III and Shalmaneser V of Nineveh conquered Israel, like the mighty Sargon II and his son Sennacherib finished the job, scattering the surviving Israelites into the trackless East. Bergoglio does that, and metaphorically builds pyramids of skulls out of the Faithful, and yet this young, grinning Bishop Fernandes says,

“We need a new Pentecost to set the world on fire,” he said. “We need missionaries and priests willing to make a gift to themselves in the service of the Gospel. I ask every man, woman, and child to pray for vocations to the priesthood, especially for our diocese.”

Dar Crom! Be no fool as that fool in the Forest of Arden! Or a more topically American reference, isn't the Vatican II Church's endless quest for more priests while they chase off manly men and ban the TLM in essence a "snipe hunt"?

Of course it is.

It's a wild goose chase, and they know it. It's all pretend, just as they pretend they're Catholics when everything they do replaces Catholicism with a form of Anglicanism or Lutheranism. It parallels the current U.S. government that pretends to be representative of the people, when it is anything but. The American "Deep State" works feverishly to weaken and replace the actual American people with foreigners, either via immigration or the educational system. That's exactly what the Vatican II Church endeavors to do, as well.

Bottom Line

The Most Holy Spirit has shown His preference; the Holy Ghost grants bountiful vocations wherever the TLM flourishes, and as for the Novus Ordo, well, I guess Fernandes can ordain some butch nuns if he wants, but not too many others want the job – as the past 60 years overwhelming demonstrate.

Christmas 2021...

Everyone,

Christmas greetings and blessings to all. It's been a crazy year, and isn't over yet. So here are a few Christmas musings, for what they're worth.

What Christmas means for Christianity

Christianity is the hardest religion to believe partly because it demands you practice a profound moral code that puts yourself last, and others – even those who hate you and even seek to kill you. Judaism and especially Islam know nothing of this, but this is almost central to the Faith and is non-negotiable. But of course most Christians do what they can to get out of it, including leaving the Church.

Yet the above exists because of what is truly central to the Faith: our own incarnation in Christ.

Basic Points in what that means, exactly:

·      The Incarnation: Absolutely necessary and central to salvation

·      It makes Christianity completely different from Judaism or Islam.

·      Different versions of Christianity understand this a greater or lesser degree, as is obvious not just from their theology, but from their worship.

·      God, in His Second Person, the Logos, becomes a human person: Jesus / Joshua: Yeshu'a (Yehoshu'a: meaning "Yahweh is salvation").

Why the Incarnation? Why did God have to become man? It's a blasphemous idea to both Jews and Muslims, after all. They don't remotely see the need for it. That answer: to make Infusion of Grace possible. Christmas is significant because it is God's public opening act in this Grace infusion program, which the Lord God began to prepare for via His Covenants.

·   God’s Incarnation didn’t lower God so much as elevate human nature, in Christ, enabling…

·   "Theosis" (Divinization) which by grace – not by nature – is our incorporation into Christ, raising us up to participate in His Divinity (as St. Peter teaches in 2 Peter 1.4). Usually described in the Western Church as an Infusion of Grace, our natures are changed. Protestantism teaches Imputation of Grace: God assigns grace to us but doesn’t actually divinize or change our nature.

·   St. Athanasius: "For the Son of God became man so that we might become God." (De inc. 54, 3: PG 25, 192B) and [CCC 460]

·   St. Thomas Aquinas: "The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods." (Opusc. 57, 1-4) [CCC 460]

·   This teaching is stated in many ways throughout the New Testament, which is the teaching about the Seventh Covenant: the Most Holy Eucharist. Examples:

·   John 1:12 “But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (Obviously, a new creation)

·   2 Cor 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (Again, a new creation) 2 Peter 1:4 might well put it best; see also Romans, 6:4, 7:6, 12:2; Galatians 3:27; Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 3:8-12. St. John's gospel, however, teaches it best, and John uses the Greek philosophical word "Logos" baptizing it into God's service. (St. John knew how to speak to philosophical Greeks better than St. Paul did!)

·   Two Old Testament examples: Isaiah 65:17; Ezekiel 36:25-26

·         Note: In general, The Baby born at Christmas grows up to demand the impossible of “ordinary” humans. In Matthew 5, during the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives the Beatitudes, then says we are “salt of the earth” and “light of the world”, and discusses how He has come not to do away with the Law and the Prophets, but to fulfill them. He discusses elevated behavior regarding anger, adultery, divorce, making oaths and not retaliating (“turn the other cheek”) and love our enemies. He ends with "You, therefore, must be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect." (5:48) All that is something manifestly impossible for “normal” human beings to do, but possible if one is incarnated into the Incarnation.

Such talk is only sane – literally – if the talker Himself is the Logos.

Logos: The Word, the Divine Mind expressed, also equally the Decree and Mandate of God, spoken in Himself, the faculty of speech in the Divine Mind referenced in Genesis One: "God said, let there be light." Logos is also the Reason, Cause, and Ground of the Divine Being manifested in act (God is Act: He has no potential), and of course eternally expressing the Reckoning and Score and Judgment of God, all of these is a PERSON, a Person Incarnated in a teenage Jewish girl by the Holy Ghost and laid in a manger, a feed trough for animals, to represent His being our new Manna, i.e. the food of our present desert for our transformation in Christ.

Salvation “works” in us as individuals through the sacraments, formal covenant oaths, by which we partake of the nature of God, in Christ (God’s grace is infused in us).

• Baptism removes Original Sin, thus we’re free to…

·   Receive Christ in the Holy Eucharist…

·   And to keep this “New Creation” and grow in the Divine, we have Confession, a sacrament of vital importance because it restores us to our baptismal purity.

Christmas is significant because the Divine Logos publicly becomes one of us to elevate us into God's nature. Theosis. That's its importance. (He began the Incarnation when the Blessed Mother conceived Him by the power of the Holy Ghost, but, except to family – St. Joseph, St. Elizabeth, the unborn John the Baptist – it was yet a secret.)

It is our spiritual and conscious embrace of this doctrine, this dogma, that enables to to do what I first mentioned: embrace all those living men who would resist it, to the point of killing us. That's the significance of Christmas.

The Novus Ordo

With all this in mind, then, consider that the big religious news this Nativity is Pope Francis' reiterated attack on the ancient liturgy, a far more "vertical" God-focused liturgy in its nature than the usual Protestant style of non-Grace infusing "praise and worship of a community" of the Logos-God. The Novus Ordo is a way-station between Catholic/Orthodox liturgical worship and Protestant worship. Intentionally set up that way by "Grace-of-Ba'al" Bugnini and accepted by Paul VI, it embodies the vertical officially with an over-all horizontal community praise and worship service. The community is the point of the latter worship, and thus after 50 years or so of the NO Mass, 70-some percent of Catholics don't believe in the Real Presence. (Or even heard of it. This should have been foreseen, and many did. But these prophets were ignored.)

So, obviously, the vertical TLM loses a great deal of its meaning through its forced appearance in the horizontal NO, yet Christmas is significant because it slaps diapers in our faces, it forces on us this monumental meaning of the Logos nursing at a young woman's breast, looking into her eyes, seeing humans as a Human for the first time in his Mother face, learning to speak from her: the reality-creating Logos learnig to speak from young Miriam (hence the exhalation of Mary and her title of Co-Remptrix, with Bergoglio denies). Those are the reflections Christmas gives, if we bother to contemplate it.

Bergoglio's actions toward the ancient Liturgy (more than a thousand years older than the Council of Trent, BTW: it should not be called "Tridentine") is shocking, cruel, putrescent, and so incomprehensibly stupid. Traditionis Custodes and the just-released Roche Dubia response commentary on it are stupid to begin with, and full of contradictions, illogic, and illegalities. Furthermore, as the abbé Claude Barthe has observed, in the very act of presuming to abolish Summorum Pontificum, Traditionis custodes condemns itself to receive the same treatment in the future, exactly as happened for the new principle of religious freedom of Vatican II, which in presuming to invalidate the Magisterium prior to Pius XII relativized itself.

The most attentive jurists have also noted how the need for synodality, proclaimed by Pope Francis, is contradicted by the centralization of decision-making power established by the Responsa, which, without specific pontifical approval, nullify the operation of one of the linchpins of Canon Law: canon 87-§1, according to which “a diocesan bishop, whenever he judges that it contributes to their spiritual good, is able to dispense the faithful from universal and particular disciplinary laws issued for his territory or his subjects by the supreme authority of the Church.” 

Both the motu proprio Traditionis Custodes and the Responsa ad dubia are therefore intrinsically illegal acts, carried out while the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, guardian of the Church’s canon law, idly looks on at a massacre of the rules that seems to have become the only rule of the pontificate.

Excellent points, my friends, are they not? What is sauce for the goose will be sauce for the gander, a simple principle Bergoglio and Roche are ignorant of. They are "hoisted by their own petards" in classic fashioned: the very things they do in hubris against their perceived foes is exactly what Hubris (the avenging angel) will smack them down with.

In my spare time, I've been reading widely and my gut feeling (worth what you paid for it) is Bergoglio, Ol' Bergi, massively overstepped himself and will see widespread opposition and outright defiance, as he'll also see the spineless/faithless kowtow to him. But what is that good for? They'll cravenly kowtow to whoever replaces him, Trad or not. They're worms, not men. 50 years of evidence that the Novus Ordo Mass doesn't work, and they still obstinately insist it does? And naturally enough, even such a disparate, stark range of extreme reactions will overthrow what little mind the Argentine has left. (And using that evil Arthur Roche as his foil was a mistake: that former ice skater is just loathed in the Church outside the hard Left.) I think it curious that I never liked the Novus Ordo. Why would that be? Consciously, it's the only one I really remember from childhood. Consciously, I find, but I discover the older Mass has left roots in my unconscious mind and soul (see below). But it never "worked" for me. Maybe I was too used to Protestant services? I knew them well, or well enough. Thus the NO was just too Protestant for me? Or maybe I subconsciously "mind-melded" with my very Traditionalist mother, who was always careful never to openly denigrate the NO. Or was it something else? Angelic influence? Or just dumb luck? I must say that after my first restored TLM at the old Holy Family downtown in Columbus, Ohio, I had a weird (in every sense, certainly "fated") onset of memory to suddenly recall vivid pre-Vatican II memories I had totally forgotten. Just amazing, and a blessing (albeit an eerie one). It was like waking one morning to remember you had lived in Atlantis.

A "War of Position"

Perhaps. It's obviously a holding action. Clearly many bishops who want to defend the TLM are planning an incremental "war of position" rather than fighting a "war of maneuver." Much depends on how long Bergoglio lives. We need true stand-up, spit-in-your-face fighting, however, like that that unequivocal statement by the Dominican Br. Louis-Marie de Blignières, noted above. We need the "Molon Labe" spirit! Such responses as Bishop Olmsted's are more like "running out the clock" at a ball game. We'll see.

Anyway, this Christmas, what with the continuing Covid fraud and the Bergoglio farce, we should probably ponder at some prayerful depth just what the Incarnation means, and the best way to "Do this in memory of me."
