Res ipsa loquitur about Bergoglio, the Novus Ordo, and "The Grooming Church"

Res ipsa loquitur (Latin: "the thing speaks for itself") is an old legal adage in common law. And Bergoglio's actions, just as with those of the Biden Administration and the various European governments, all speak for themselves. Oh, in their talk, both Church and State babble all sorts of nonsense. But look at their actions. Both Church and State practice tyranny. They are all together thieves, liars, and braggarts, full of pride and avarice. And for them, indeed, "sin darkens the intellect", i.e., they are stupid. 

• Proof of that? A VIP in the Church told Cardinal Müller that it would be better there were NO MASSES at all instead of the Traditional Latin Mass. Yep, that's proof, all right.

Ergo, this July 4th, we should declare independence from these frauds. More specifically and accurately, we are not Schismatics ourselves, but the Church bosses are in Schism with the Church as it has traditionally existed and according to its ancient teachings. We need to declare independence for the Church herself from these Schismatics.

The "Grooming Church"

Joseph D'Hippolito has a scathing article at The Stream: “Queering” the Catholic Church. I've rarely read a post with a theme so disgusting and so disheartening. D'Hippollito sums it up with this:

But as the spectacle of a drag performer dancing in front of children at a Vatican event demonstrates, Francis and his cohorts have no interest in protecting the innocent. By appeasing gender ideologues, by confusing mercy with enabling, Francis and his sycophants are turning the Catholic Church into the world’s largest grooming agency.

For you Catholics reading that quote, is this alright for you? Is it not a sickening abomination before God and Man? How can you tolerate the Catholic Church being turned into "the world's largest grooming agency"?

With the Holy Church nearly sinking under the weight of this particular carnal sin, perhaps the worst of carnal sins that "cries out to Heaven" (Genesis 18.20-21) let alone so many others, is it any wonder belief in the Real Presence of Our Lord Christ in the Eucharist has waned? 

But even more to the point, it remains a shocking, inexplicable wonder that so many Trad Catholics insist "Francis is pope" when he clearly isn't. (It is also shocking that so many "conservative" or "magisterium" Catholics still think the Ogre is a pope! What's he got to do, declare Martin Luther a saint? ...Oh, wait.) 

The Demands of Logic, a syllogism

First premise: Bergoglio as "Pope" has clearly taught heresy of various kinds. Eleven years of his antics and bombast and put downs and curses and diktats we've endured. He's even changed the official Catechism.

Second premise: Bergoglio is obstinate about it; i.e. having been provided many dubia and other formal queries and opportunities to clarify his teaching in order to align it with Tradition (the Deposit of Faith), he refuses. 

Conclusion: Bergoglio is an obstinate heretic and manifest heretic, and as such, he cannot be Catholic – let alone pope! (See Louie Verrecchio here for a "deep-dive" into this here, and also here.)

How simple is this? It isn't rocket science and it is barely Theology 101. A Baptist or Methodist who teaches the Real Presence or the profound status of the B.V.M. can hardly be called a Baptist or Methodist. Catholicism has a two-millennia old Magisterium that's been guided by the Holy Ghost to a far higher level of understanding and detail than any other Church. Because of that, we can all see wherein Bergoglio goes against so much of the consistent Church teaching. Thus, Galatians 1:8 applies: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema."

Presentation?

Occasionally someone suggests this is all about presentation. That the Vatican IIers should have tried a gradual introduction to the Novus Ordo Mass. This is naive in the extreme. They NEVER tried any such "gradual phasing in" because A, they knew the laity wouldn't accept such guano, and B, they wanted to change Church theology, and change the Church herself, into something different – as we CLEARLY see now with this "Synodal Church" abomination. A gradual introduction; i.e. "Let's have the 10 a.m. Mass as Novus Ordo and 8 a.m. Mass as Vetus Ordo" would have resulted in direct comparison, which the Novus Ordo cannot win. After a few weeks, the N.O. Mass would have had a handful of people attending it and everyone else (in Comrade Lenin's famous phrase) "voting with their feet" by attending the Vetus Ordo, the TLM. In other words, it would have given the True Catholics far too much of an opportunity to "rally round the flag".

So, What To Do?

For myself, I reject Bergoglio and his peeps: his macabre collection of hobgoblins, imps, hobhoulards, tutgots, swaithes and wraiths. They're not Catholics. Not the ones closest to Bergoglio, who, with their Master, must be atheists because no believer, no matter how addled, would mock God and trample His teachings like this infernal crew does. And even if somehow they were "well-intentioned", as Anthony Stine says many may be (at 1:34), where do they get off denying me (and over a billion of others) our Catholic inheritance? 

Denying us our Catholic Inheritance that has built up over two millennia is their fundamental goal. (Remember Müller's revelation above.) And they cannot believe in God, and certainly not the Holy Spirit, because He has been guiding us all since Pentecost Sunday:

• (St John 14:16 & 14:26) 16 And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever. 26 "But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you."
  
• Acts 1:4 And eating together with them, he commanded them, that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but should wait for the promise of the Father, which you have heard (saith he) by my mouth.
  
• Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.

All that is good in our own particular lives comes from God; all the bad we are responsible for, or our fellow humans. All that is good and true and lasting in the Catholic Church likewise comes from the Holy Ghost, as the "test of time" proves. What has the test of time proven about the Vatican II Church? "By their fruits you will know them." (St Matthew 7:16) When John Paul II kept calling for a "new Pentecost", the poor guy was asserting, even if not conscious of it, an insult to the Holy Spirit that His first Descent wasn't good enough, or that it had run out of steam! (He never seemed to cotton on to what he was saying, poor man.)

But the Synodal Church creators think God is not involved at all, in any Form or Person, despite their endless affirmations they are "guided by the spirit". Spirit of what? We are supposed to think these clowns can discern spirits? The current Church leaders certainly ACT like everything is created for them by their intrigues and decided by their all too mundane and "spiritless" committees. That, or the committees, like the ostensibly huge one writing the Novus Ordo (Bugnini did almost all of that, him and a couple cronies) are just Potemkin Villages, boring charades.

No, my friends. They're the "Church of the Groomers" and that is definitely a res ipsa loquitur. As noted, they are thieves, liars, and braggarts, full of pride and avarice. Literally everything they do is about power, asserting it and lording it over us with an iron hand. They're corrupt on every level. They've abolished every discipline in the Faith except one, the one they demand we give them unreservedly: obedience. 

And irony of irony, the "pope" Bergoglio, ruling with an iron hand, wants to arrange it so after he dies, the papacy will be nothing but a shadow of itself, as the Patriarch of Constantinople is now. And also irony of ironies, the great champion of the Novus Ordo is too bored with it to ever say it himself, not for years. Ironies of ironies, quoth Qoheleth. 

I say NO to their N.O. all their works.

Article: Pope Francis’ fight against the Latin Mass is ‘a fight against the Church’

LifeSiteNews has a great essay up that a German priest, Fr. Heimerl, wrote, titled "Pope Francis’ fight against the Latin Mass is ‘a fight against the Church’" Read it here. It is extremely insightful, and I highly recommend it.

A huge THANK YOU for this article, LifeSite, and to Fr. Heimerl ! The Old Mass, the TLM, could in no way represent the "NuChurch" that the Modernists at Vatican II wanted to create, so it had to go. Of course it did. THAT'S why Bergoglio so hates the TLM. It stands in his way. And he will stop at nothing to achieve what he wants. Rumor has it he fully intends to officially, full-stop, BAN the Traditional Latin Mass. That'll put the fox among the chickens. His time to create his Synodal Church is short, and every day might be his last. The Argentine Luther had to wait till he could stuff Benedict into the back of a van, but he charges on full steam ahead now.

A Schism is coming. A Schism is coming because it already exists, and has existed de facto since Vatican II; it just took a while for us to "get our bearings". Like someone just waking up in a strange environment, or after an operation, it takes a moment to get one's bearings. It took even Archbishop Lefebvre a few years to fully realize what was happening and the extent of the betrayal. And it WAS a betrayal of the Catholic faithful. A betrayal by the cocky Modernists who knew most Catholics were so conditioned to "pray, pay, and obey" that they would soldier along with it, at least up to the point. (Everyone has a breaking point.) So, no wonder about Ottaviani and Bacci, powerful orthodox Cardinals Fr. Heimerl mentions who confronted Paul VI about all this, but ultimately didn't call for his excommunication. Raised as loyal sons of the old Church, they could not bring themselves to do the needful.

Now, today, however, we have NO EXCUSE. Sixty years of facing lavender firing squads taking potshots at us, we know all too well what's happening. No. More. No more bleating sheep-like, "Baa, baat the bishop says so-and-so!" No more Disney princess bishops at all or histrionic priests flamboyantly auditioning at the Cranmer table "altars". No more "Prayers of the People" that seem to channel Leftist party talking points or the trendy social causes du jour. No more tolerating the destruction of the Holy Catholic Church. Zero tolerance. Start it saying in your own minds. Then tell family and friends, then priests and bishops. Say a prayer for the strength to grasp it and to admit it.

Some bishops, even one, will have to openly declare Bergoglio in Schism. I doubt Burke or Müller would. Maybe they might over women deacons; Viganò would. And sure, Bergoglio would rage, and excommunicate left, right, and center, but it is clear to anyone with two cents of a brain that Bergoglio himself is the innovator, the challenger, the heretic.

And that even as it morphs into the "Synodal Church", the Vatican II Church has finally manifested itself as the infamous, but prophesied, "Ape of the Church".

Cameron O'Hearn is excellent; Jeremiah Bannister is a fool...

I wasted time listening to one Jeremiah Bannister grilling moviemaker Cameron O'Hearn on his second Latin Mass Movie "A Perfect Storm". But Bannister is a fool, or to be charitable, he certainly worked hard to instill that impression in this "interview"! Watch it if you want, but it is a waste of time. And headache inducing. And note that O'Hearn let Bannister use his (O'Hearn's) channel for this interview! BTW, for a supposed radio personality, Bannister uses "um" far, far too much to be a professional. With less than 20 minutes to go, I had to stop it. Bannister seemed to talk for hours, was moralizing and exercising a "moral superiority" that he did not remotely have. O'Hearn was excellent, though. If one could just Bannister out and leave O'Hearn....

Bannister is supposed to be interviewing O'Hearn and offering criticisms of this second movie compared to the earlier one, but he's just lecturing O'Heasrn on a specific point. Bannsiter is one of the Ultramontanist type: the Church can do no wrong, the pope is always right, and ANY criticism of the pope drives people out of the Church, so no one can make such criticism. That was Bannister's whole point.

That ultimately was Bannister's bone of contention, that ANY criticism of the pope or hierarchy is evil because it drives people from the Church. O'Hearn quietly made the point were we then wrong to reveal the Church sex abuse problem? O'Hearn pointed out that the bishops tried to hide the sex abuse crisis for precisely that purpose: i.e. to avoid driving people out of the Church! And we all know how that tactic worked out!

The only worthwhile part of this farago of an ego-impaired popinjay-type's pompous exercise in moral surperiority is O'Hearn's careful, common-sense and restrained responses. I don't know how he did it. I do not suffer fools gladly. Maybe Cameron O'Hearn is well on his way to sainthood.

One point O'Hearn made during a particularly specious grilling was that one of his audience members at a screening was a local bishop. So, after the film, O'Hearn asked the bishop what he thought of the film. The bishop said, in a schocked voice, "Cameron, I had no idea. I had NO idea that was what happened." We can ALL easily believe that! The ignorance and cowardice of bishops has ever been a problem, going back to ancient times. St. John Chrysostom, late third century, said that the road to Hell was paved with bishops' skulls. 

The bottom line: Do not tie yourself into knots over this. Christ is head of the Church, not the pope. Throughout the Church's history, we have had both saints as popes, and utter montebanks! Follow Christ first and formost in His moral teaching (which is absolute) and partake of the Seventh Covenant, the Most Holy Eucharist. And for God's sake, use your common sense, first and foremost. Partake of certain controversies if you want but do not let them interfere with following Christ.

Oh, and Bergoglio is an anti-pope, Mr. Bannister.

Abp. Viganò discusses failure of Vatican II Novus Ordo Mass

 In a recent interview, Archbishop Viganò noted something that bears repeating (well, he said a lot that bears repeating, but this stood out to me).

Excerpt (highlights mine):

Those who prepared the conciliar documents to have them approved by the Council Fathers acted with the same malice that the drafters of the liturgical reform adopted, knowing that they would interpret ambiguous texts in a Catholic way, while those who were to disseminate and utilize them would interpret them in every sense except that.

In fact, this concept is confirmed in everyday practice. Have you ever seen a priest who celebrates the Novus Ordo with the altar facing East, entirely in Latin, wearing the fiddleback (Roman) chasuble and distributing Communion at the Communion rail, without this arousing the ire of his Ordinary and confreres, even though, strictly speaking, this way of celebrating would be perfectly legitimate? Those who have tried — certainly in good faith — have been treated worse than those who habitually celebrate the Tridentine Mass. This demonstrates that the continuity hoped for in the Council’s hermeneutic does not exist, and that the break with the pre-conciliar Church is the norm to which one must conform, to the satisfaction of conservatives.

And this below is an example of the so-called "Gothic chasubles", which you're more familiar with, unless you attend the TLM:

The fiddleback or Roman chasuble is obviously designed for the priest to be facing ad orientem, toward the east and God, whereas the Vatican II Gothic one is for the priest facing ad populum, toward the people. The Roman chasuble is a portable icon screen, fulfilling the role the iconostasis does in the Eastern Liturgies. Iconostases and Roman chasubles serve as the curtain in the Jerusalem Temple, the confection of the Eucharistic sacrifice being the highest and holiest sacrament.

Before Vatican II's liturgical changes (implemented over a decade), it was easy to believe something holy was occurring, indeed, nothing less than the Incarnation of God brought forward time into our midst; after the Novus Ordo reigned supreme, however, it would take a miracle to believe in Transubstantiation. This is because the liturgy remains the Church's main teaching device.

Viganò states in the interview:

Now, if Vatican II was a revolutionary act, both in the way it was conducted and in the documents it promulgated, it is logical and legitimate to think that its liturgy is also affected by this ideological approach, especially if we bear in mind that it is the chief means by which the faithful and clergy are catechized. It is no coincidence that Luther and the other Protestant and Anglican heretics used the liturgy as their main method to spread their errors among the faithful.

The Novus Ordo Mass the Product of Radio Days?

I think the Vat2-ers and "liturgical experts" of the '60s were raised on radio. So much of the N.O. liturgy is talky-talky and staccato, like radio. The TLM was made for a visual world as well as an aural world; the Vat2 N.O. is one-dimensional, in comparison.

So is this why Pope Francis is a Communist? Or at least very friendly to "serious Sociailsm"?

It's been well remarked upon that Bergoglio is either a Communist or a Communist/Socialist sympathizer. His comments against Capitalism and in favor of some sort of Socialism are legion, that's for sure. 

Whether Bergi himself is or not, it is essential to make plain that in the morality of the political realm, Socialism is evil because it strokes envy; indeed, it is built almost entirely out of envy. It pretends to be sourced in Our Lord's charity, and a call for true "social justice" but, alas, it is clearly evil, stoking the fire of envy in every way. 

And envy is famously the ONE sin that has no pleasure in it, unless spite is considered a pleasure. (It is in Hell.)

And in a sense, that is the real, underlying problem with the Novus Ordo Mass. With everything else that can be said for or against it, the N.O. seems designed to so easily stroke the ego. It's format, one can argue, is built almost entirely out of some aspect of pride; for example: pride the priest faces me, pride the priest talks to me and pride that I "understand" every single word, pride that I don't pray at my own pace but in rather lockstep with all the others; i.e. "we're all equal; no one is spiritually better somehow."

Those messages are there; they're built in. Many can ignore them, the saintly, the truly humble, but for the rest of us, that "ignoring" hard to do. 

So, is it no wonder Bergi & Co. all seem to be very, very Communist friendly?

How to witness to a non-TLM Catholic about the TLM Mass

First, never rag on what they experience, for how are they to know any better, being brought up in it? Always remember: People like what they're used to. An old adage, and a true one.

Secondly, pray and really live the beauty of the TLM in your life outside the Liturgy, or I suppose one can say, bring the Heavenly beauty of the TLM into your public life, live as through Heaven -- and the Eternal Presence of Our Lord -- is here, for He is. Stress ever the Real Presence, and that that is the great aim of the TLM and the ancient Eastern Liturgies: to celebrate Immanuel, God with us, in His Real Presence. That's the reason for all the art, the exquisite music, the vertical worship. The Lord God of Hosts became Incarnate in us in order that we could become incarnate in Him. Theosis. It's that "Faith made manifest" that attracts. Always has, always will.

How the New Mass Beats a River into Submission

In the 2016 movie Dr. Strange, the Ancient One, Strange's mentor in "the mystical arts", told him, "You cannot beat a river into submission; you have to surrender to its current, and use its power as your own."

It has dawned on me that the Novus Ordo Mass does, indeed, ceaselessly try to "beat a river into submission", the River of Prayer that is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

This is closely related to the revelation I received after I began to attend High Masses, but which first suggested itself to me when I first had begun to attend Eastern liturgies in Churches in Communion with Rome. The revelation took a while to bud and flower. Partly that's because the Eastern liturgies were so "exotic" in comparison to what I was used to. They were so culturally "alien" to me, who, though about ten-years-old in 1968, never really could remember attending a TLM as a child.

When I then received the blessing of being able to attend a TLM (in an old, un"Modernized" re: not "Wreckovated" church), the full force of the essential difference between the TLM and the NO Masses bore upon me: but even then, I struggled for the words to describe it. The way I phrased it then was, "The TLM gives you more spiritual elbow-room." One noticed that in the Eastern liturgies, or at least I did, that what with various things going on, and the choir continuously producing sacred song, that the congregation wasn't forced into rote responses everyone had to make in lock-step; instead, one could let one's mind wander, as it were, and really of course – in the holy context of Christ's Calvary Sacrifice being re-enacted, with the veil between Heaven and Earth being parted – the Spirit was present, and He it was who led your spirit into all sorts of contemplations.

Thanks to the old pagan Ancient One, though, now I get it. The Novus Ordo Mass beats the River of Sacred Liturgical Prayer into submission. It breaks up not only your train of thought but your prayer. In fact, it renders your prayer impossible. The Holy Spirit can't speak to you nor you to Him because you're too busy watching the orchestra conductor, the officiating priest, waiting for the "next thing to happen", producing your responses when required – and everyone doing so all together, like soldiers on a parade ground practicing drill.

It's not that one doesn't pray at all at the N.O. Mass, no; one does pray, but one prays the group prayers, in unison, supposedly with gusto, i.e., as Protestants do – or as certain ignorant, highly educated Catholic "liturgical experts" thought Protestants did. It reminds me of Ward Bond, the priest in John Ford's The Quiet Man, crying out, "Let's cheer like Protestants!"

My wife, a melancholy, introverted type, quiet, unassuming, does really NOT like any sort of boisterous, extrovert sort of "get-together" and she definitely cannot stand the NO Mass, which of course stresses an extroverted boisterousness as its esprit de corps. The notorious handshake "kiss of peace" fiasco, in the middle of the most sacred segment of the liturgy, is only the most notorious example of this. The whole of the horizontal, congregation-focused-on-the-priest's-facial-expressions N.O. Mass is one long flailing against the River of Sacred Prayer.

So with that insight, we can see a simple, basic reason tens of millions of Catholics left that Mass. They couldn't pray it; they couldn't contemplate anything – whether Spirit-led or self-led. For a Me Decade birthed liturgy, created by old codger bureaucrats who had grown up listening to endless chatty radio – no silences there! – it is amazing how "un-Me" the N.O. Mass is! YOU, the individual, never get a chance to "surrender" to the current of liturgical prayer that floods down through the TLM from Mt. Calvary; YOU never get a chance to "use its power as your own." Instead of that, you're a cog in a machine, or more like a performer, actually, in a liturgical engine chugging away boisterously, a machine whose engineer constantly is in eye-contact with your reflections, as it were: your conscious distracted, and duty-bound to pay ceaseless attention, dropping any and all trains of thought at your conductor's steam-whistling summons.

And of course bellowing out (with gusto) some pretty hackneyed (at best) music.

The Novus Ordo tries to beat our liturgical prayer – two thousand years of it now – into submission, and the result it has beaten many of us into submission, into the miserable condition of our current state of mainstream Church worship: unsolitary in its boisterous regimentation, spiritually poor, rather nastily so, certainly too often brutish, and never short enough, (if I maybe mutilate Thomas Hobbes' famous line).

"99% of TLM Catholics said they attend Mass weekly vs. 22% of NOM."

Yes, that's 99 percent of US Traditional Latin Mass Catholics attend Mass every Sunday while on 22 percent of the Novus Ordo crowd do. This was reported here at OnePeterFive. The original Liturgy Guy article is here. Both sites are great; I highly recommend them.

The findings on key questions were informative:

• 2% of TLM-attending Catholics approved of contraception vs. 89% of NOM Catholics.
• 1% of TLM Catholics approved of abortion compared to 51% of NOM attendees.
• 99% of TLM Catholics said they attend Mass weekly vs. 22% of NOM.
• 2% of TLM goers approved of “gay marriage” as opposed to 67% of NOM.

Also of note was the rate of giving among TLM Catholics, which was nearly six times the amount of giving (at 6% of income) as NOM parishioners (at 1.2%). TLM Catholics also had a fertility rate of 3.6 vs 2.3 for NOM — indicating “a nearly 60% larger family size”

As the study authors state in their analysis, the differences between the two groups were “dramatic when comparing beliefs, church attendance, monetary generosity, and fertility rates.”
The initial survey, conducted over a number of months in 2018, was brief, but Fr. Kloster intends to engage in the study of additional topics in his next survey — such as propensity toward vocations — which he intends to launch this year.
The findings will likely come as little surprise to Catholics who regularly attend Mass at TLM chapels across the country. They indicate that these chapels are fertile ground for Catholic orthodoxy, large families, and an authentic practice of the faith and will continue to provide growth and nourishment to the Church for the foreseeable future.
