Abp. Viganò: Catholics have ‘sacred and urgent duty’ to resist Cdl. Cupich’s Latin Mass crackdown

 Amici,

Archbishop Viganò has issued a clarion call, a battle cry, against Bergoglio and Cupich and all their ilk.

Abp. Viganò pulls out all the stops and takes no prisoners in his essay. An excerpt (highlights mine, but the entire letter should be highlighted):

This umpteenth show of strength by Cupich, who is cynical and ruthless towards the faithful even before the Canons of the Institute of Christ the King, can constitute a healthy moment of reflection on the many omissions and equivocations that need to be clarified, especially in the matter of acceptance of the Conciliar mens and the Bergoglian “magisterium.” I trust that the Canons of Christ the King and all of the Ecclesia Dei institutes will be able to see in these days of trial a precious opportunity for purification, courageously witnessing to the necessary coherence between the profession of Faith and its cultic expression in the Mass, and the consequent irreconcilability between these and the doctrinal and liturgical deviations of Vatican II. Because it is not possible to celebrate the Mass of Saint Pius V and at the same time to accept the errors of its enemies.

Cupich knows this very well, and this is why he wants to prevent the celebration of that Mass. He knows how much that Mass is a very powerful exorcism against the servants of the devil, both those who wear miters and those who do not. He knows how immediately that Mass is understandable to anyone for its supernatural sense of the sacred and divine – the
mysterium tremendum of Moses before the burning bush – and how that Mass opens the eyes of the faithful, warms their hearts, and enlightens their minds. After decades of unspeakable torments, the faithful are finally able to approach the Majesty of God, to be converted, to change their lives, to educate their children in holiness, and to spread the Faith by their example. What could be more desirable for a Bishop who is truly a Shepherd of the Sheep entrusted to him by the Lord? And what could be more detestable for those who want to see the Sheep be torn to pieces by wolves or fall into the abyss?

The lay faithful, priests, and Bishops have the sacred and urgent duty to rise up against the decisions of these completely discredited characters and to demand, without yielding an inch, that the venerable Tridentine Liturgy remain an inviolable bulwark of doctrine, morality, and spirituality. We must obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29), especially when these men have demonstrated by their reprehensible conduct, that they do not love either God or their brothers in the Faith.

AnP again:

Viganò is his usual brilliant self here, even more than usual. And I suspect many laity and clergy watching from the sidelines get the strong sense that Bergoglio has over-reached himself. Joe Biden is massively over-reaching his miserable self, as well. Both these "installed" puppet leaders totter (literally, in both cases) on the brink of toppling into the Abyss that Viganò mentions in his letter. The deadline of the U.S. November elections loom, as does China's opportunity to invade Taiwan, as does Russia's chance to slap down NATO and most of all, I'm seeing from multiple sources that the death and injury count from the Covid "vaccines" is reaching unbelievable heights, and there's no way to keep the lid on that news much longer, at least, not short of closing down the entire Internet.

And please note Viganò's core point: the Trad Mass is incompatible with pretty much the whole of Vatican II. That's true in part due to what the Vat2 documents actually say, especially Dignitatis Humanae, Declaration On Religious Freedom; Nostra Aetate Declaration on On the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions; and Unitatis Redintegratio, the Decree On Ecumenism. But it is mainly true from the actual accumulated effects of the Second Vatican Council. We have seen, over half a century, that whatever the printed, voted-on documents actually say, the Modernists in the Church just decree that they actually mean whatever the Modernists want to push at a given moment. The Vatican II documents might as well be printed on Kleenex. So, ergo, the whole of Vatican II needs to be sunk. (Preferably in the Marianas Trench.)

And the ever-present irony is, the more Bergoglio & Co. push for "Vatican II acceptance", the more they ensure it's rejection, precisely because of "...the consequent irreconcilability between these (Traditional Catholic teachings and practice) and the doctrinal and liturgical deviations of Vatican II."

The only real question is whether we'll survive the Great Chastisement we're entering into. If we can, great. If not, then...maybe old Sweeny Astray will let me join him at "his tree in charming Glen Bolcain, for that was his fortress and his haven, it was his house there in the glen," as Flann O'Brien once put it long ago.

"The latest example of a sociopathic gaslighter" (Bergoglio, not Biden)

Amici,

As if we do not have enough in this crazy, dying civilization to worry about! Dar Crom! This line in the title is from an excellent article by J. Basil Dannebohm on the nefarious Bergoglio's recent manipulations regarding his overt approval of the FSSP (Priestly Society of Saint Peter) saying the Latin Mass, and all the other sacraments and ordinations, etc., according to the 1962 Missal of Pope John XXIII. We ought, of course, to be celebrating the rites according to the pre-1955 Missals because after that date, the truly evil Freemason Hannibal ('grace of Ba'al') Bugnini wrecked the Easter rites in an infamous decimating precursor maneuver to Bugnini's wrecking the Traditional Latin Mass and Rites after 1965. (BTW, if you had the name "Hannibal" and you wanted to be a priest, would you keep "Grace of Satan" as your name? Just sayin'.)

The article is here at Memorare. It is full of excellent and excoriating quotes, so please give it a read.

Meanwhile, Timothy J. Flanders at One Peter Five takes a more toned down approach. Flanders asks us to pray for the "Holy Father", otherwise, this guy:

Uh, yeah, right. Bergoglio should keep to his ferocious frown. You can ask me to believe a lot of stuff, but that this individual is a legal pope, nope, sorry. I agree with Patrick Coffin here. And besides the details Coffin explains, the Catholic Church is not a mutual intellectual or spiritual suicide cult: we don't have to believe absolutely contradictory things such as a guy is pope when that guy doesn't do what pope's are elected to do: protect and serve Christian Tradition, which includes Divine Revelation and Tradition as the Holy Ghost has developed it from the first (and only) Pentecost. "Bergi" has not done that, so ipso facto, he's just an Argentinian Peronist residing in the Vatican. (And I hasten to add, don't let anyone bog you down with ridiculous sedevacantist palaver; its usually just a club to beat you with "in order to improve your morale".)

Listen to Coffin. Be enlightened.

As for Bergoglio and the FSSP, I'm reminded of the story about the Egyptian god Toth: he gave Pharaoh the gift of writing. Pharaoh was profusely grateful, but Toth said, "Hold up, oh Pharaoh, for know this: what I give with one hand I take with the other. Now that I have given you the gift of writing, know that I have taken the gift of memory. Now that you can read, you won't be able to commit to long memory all that you knew before." (Toth was impossible to play poker with.)

Bergoglio has surely done the same: he's given the FSSP (and others, such as Christ the King Sovereign Priest, etc., the written gift of permission to worship in full Catholicity, but taken from away from them any protection in doing so from the Wolf Bishops (Hyena Bishops? Maybe their deity is Anubis?) such as the truly execrable sodomite bishop of Knoxsville, Richard "Short Sleeves" Stika. (Read Dannenbohm again, this time about Stika here.)

As Dannenbohm writes, we must pray for the tormented souls who must reside in such bishoprics. I forget how bad it is "out there". If you have a bishop like those, pray! All the "signs of the times" indicate massive change is upon us, for good or ill.
