The "world in ferment" keeps heading for a meltdown – and no, not a global warming meltdown except in Western nations that remain in thrall to that absolute fraud of frauds: Climate Change.

• Just say no to Climate Change. Say no to Covid. Say no to the 100+ year fraud of virology. Say no to a host of manufactured crises that they keep springing on us.

There's much chatter about the coming "Climate Change Lockdowns" but I suspect that might be the stick to break the camel's back of people's tolerance of this WEF/2030/New World Order fetid putridity. 

Speaking of camels, something interesting seems afoot in old Iran, that Indo-European outpost athwart the Mideast:

Iran is in extreme ferment after the government "morality police" thugs killed Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish woman, on Sept. 16, for not wearing a hijab Muslim hair garment. The Iranian people seem to have had enough. (Until at least the "government" starts shooting them en masse.) The pointless murder might be the flip of the switch that sends that particular Islamic regime straight to Muhammad's hell, where jinn amuse themselves by pouring molten iron down the throats of the damned.

At least 17 casualties were reported as protests spread to over 80 cities across Iran. See also Amnesty. 

Putin and the Ukrainian War

Meanwhile, Russia has slowed or stopped the recent Ukrainian offensive in part by the simple expedient of liquidating Western mercenaries. It's no fun being a merc and have yourself bullet-kicked straight into Hell, is it? (A true merc, fighting solely for money and the adrenaline kick, probably won't get to sing in the Courts of the Prince of Peace, would he? One wouldn't think so.)

• Russian news site Lenta claims Russia has eliminated mercenaries fighting for US Private Military Company (PMC) Academi (former Blackwater) and “Kraken” irregulars attached to the far-right Azov Regiment in the Kherson offensive (Gateway Pundit reported). If true, this may explain why the Ukrainian counteroffensive seems to have stalled. The strikes were announced by Russian Ministry of Defense spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov...

Meanwhile, as Tucker Carlson reports (he's been outstanding lately, even I, jaded corvine that I am, must admit), that the Western Powers, esp the U.S., seem insanely pushing for nuclear war.

 

As Tucker says, the U.S. could stop the war tonight by dropping funding to the Ukrainians. Yes, that would allow Putin a "win" but then the West guaranteed itself a loss from the beginning. The Western "leaders" maneuvered themselves into defeat by their stubborn and stupid decisions before the war – i.e. they were as smugly stupid about thinking Putin would never invade as they thought he'd never turn off their oil and gas. All Putin had to do was call their bluff and invade – invade with the intention to win – and the West had then to necessarily look idiotic unless they truly pushed for an actual nuclear war, which is what Tucker Carlson says they seem to be doing. In other words, they're still stupid.

We must throw these idiots out of our governments, route them out entirely. I'm praying Italy on Sunday follows Sweden's lead.

Why Has Italy Been So Hard Hit by the Coronavirus?

The Federalist reports that both China and Iran have been far too close to the Chinese for comfort -- and now pay the price. One might easily observe that in the U.S. and Europe, universities are full of Chinese students, and Chinese travel regularly back and forth -- or did. Therefore, one can ask why the close connections between Italy and Iran result in this disaster, but not in other places.

Perhaps the example of the many deaths at a rest home in Seattle tell the tell: it was just one individual from Wuhan, or had just come from Wuhan after visiting, who brought the disease. (It doesn't seem to be caught person-to-person, by the way, but by contact with things an infected person touches.) One person was the vector that killed 40-some old folks. Same thing could have happened in Italy and Iran, and they might have had more individuals from Wuhan in their midst. But the article has more details. Also relevant: China dealt with the Wuhan bug in the way Commies do, as the Soviets did Chernobyl: coverup and denial. That enabled the disease to spread as rapidly as it did.

Also, remember that Italy has one of the oldest populations in Europe, and Iran's population is aging as well. And of course, their medical systems are not the best (Italy has a "single-payer" government run healthcare, like Britain and Hungary, and unlike France or Germany or, of course, very unlike the U.S.).

What Has Happened in Italy

Italy’s economy has been struggling for two decades. It has seen three recessions in 10 years. Its unemployment rate stood at 10.3 percent, and its youth unemployment rate was 33 percent as of 2018. According to Marco Annunziata of Forbes, the living standards in Italy today are roughly the same as they were 20 years ago because very little growth has occurred.

Italy’s economic woes are caused by aging industries, ruinous regulations (especially its overly rigid labor laws), an inefficient banking system, high levels of corruption, and constant political turmoil. From 1946 to 2016, Italy had 65 governments. No matter who was in charge, he lacked resolve to implement serious structural reform and deregulation to boost the economy.

Instead, every one of the 65 governments hoped they could spend their way out of an economic mess. Italy’s debt burden as a percentage of annual economic activity measured by GDP is at 132 percent as of 2018, the second highest in the EU, only slightly better than Greece.

The most recent political upheaval in Italy took place in May 2018. Weeks after an election, the anti-establishment groups and pro-EU lawmakers failed to produce a new coalition government. The final compromise resulted in a virtually unknown law professor, Giuseppe Conte, becoming the new prime minister.

Like his predecessors, Conte has been unwilling to implement any structural reform. Instead, he sought an “easy” way out. Almost exactly a year ago in March 2019, against warnings from the EU and the United States, Italy became the first and only G7 country to sign onto OBOR. As part of the deal, Italy opened an array of sectors to Chinese investment, from infrastructure to transportation, including letting Chinese state-owned companies hold a stake in four major Italian ports. The deal gave communist China a foothold in the heart of Europe, but Conte downplayed it as “no big deal at all.”

Lombardy and Tuscany are the two regions that saw the most Chinese investment. Nearly a year later, the first Wuhan coronavirus infection case in Italy was reported in the Lombardy region on Feb. 21. Today, Italy is experiencing the worst coronavirus outbreak outside China, and Lombardy is the hardest-hit region in the country. As of March 14, Italy reported 24,747 cases and 1,809 deaths. Now the entire country is in lockdown until at least April 3. Its economy is expected to contract 7.5 percent in the first quarter, opposite what Conte had hoped.

Trump, Syria, and the Kurds

Is President Trump somehow betraying the Kurds?

This is just another stick to beat the Trump piñata with.

We need to get outta there. That area of the world ate up Roman legions and a number of Roman emperors -- Julian the Apostate comes to mind, but so does the far more worthy Valerian.

It's a part of the world trapped in endless, endemic war, and was before the coming of Islam or the Mongols hoards. (Islam and the Mongol hoards made it worse.)

George H.W. Bush "betrayed" the Kurds, too, as did his son. Hell, the Kurds were "betrayed" by Picot and Sykes after WWI. The Brits "betrayed" them again when they left Iraq after WWII. The only "peace" the Kurds knew was when the Achaemenid Persian Empire ruled that entire area, and ironically enough, it was a Western conqueror, none other than Alexander himself, who overthrew them and ushered yet another millennium of brutal slaughter.

If Alex couldn't pull it off, who are we to try?

We need to get out. It's as simple as that. 

A "great power" is precisely that because it can chose when to fight, and when not to fight. Read Sun Tzu.

In fact, I think President Trump will do that region more good by us getting outta there than us staying. If we leave, and ignore the idiotic provocations of both Iran and Turkey, both of the regimes might well fall; they're probably headed for a collision course with each other anyway. If they're chaos grows, then powers more in need of the region's oil can become involved. 

Israel can defend itself. It's a nuclear nation and nothing terrifies like nukes, which is why the Iranians want nukes so badly, of course.

How Trump is handling Iran

I don't go into politics here as much as I might like, just as I don't do enough traditional Irish prayer, language, or culture as I'd like. But one "thing political" that really irks me is people saying Trump is Stupid.

The Iranians recently, through their terrorist vassals (well, really, it was the Iranians; their Houthis vassals couldn't manage such an attack), launched an audacious attack on Saudi Arabian oil fields. Many commentators whom I respect, and I don't mean John Bolton-types, not remotely, were saying President Trump had to act militarily.

But instead, the President is sending a few military people to Saudi Arabia to bolster them a bit. He's letting the Shia Twelvers who run Iran -- in effect -- sit in their stink holes and "act out" till the foam out of their mouths reaches their knees, dripping off their scraggly beards. He's embarrassing them by showing that their temper tantrum isn't going to provoke him. This is exceedingly important because all their terror associates, best buds, and esp their enemies, will see them for the cretins they are. Nothing embarrasses a Muslim like showing the world he's both impotent and infantile. (Allah is supposed -- and this is formal Muslim doctrine -- to give each Muslim man a far greater libido than any non-Muslim man. Therefore, any hint of impotency -- in this case, political and military -- has religious ramifications.)

Or look at it from another angle: Remember when the president moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem? All the Muslim terror threats beforehand, and the damp squib of a Muslim response afterward. Idiot children throwing a tantrum looked more dignified. And effective! (What's the point of throwing a tantrum if the parent walks away?) That showed Muslims everywhere that they had nothing, nothing at all, with which to influence or even terrorize Trump with.

When the Shia Twelver Cult that runs Iran finds out -- as they are finding out -- that they can't provoke Trump the way they could the Bushes or the Democrats, they only realize they've shot their wad. They have nothing left. Their dreams of restoring Persian Empire glory is bat guano. They can't tweak the Bald Eagle's tailfeathers. And all their terror buddies know it. They're losing "face" as would be said in the Far East.

What's more important, their Russian quasi-ally, will see they're useless for what the Russians want to use them for. 

Here, in this Saudi attack, they did something that was really outrageous -- of serious international import, and Trump dismisses them haughtily, then goes on merrily about his business cracking apart the Chicoms' glory dreams in his tariff vise. So, the Iranians sit there and look utterly stupid, which they are, before not only the whole world, but their important terrorist clients, allies, and foes. They've shot their wad. And everyone knows it. 

They can make an ever bigger, more obvious attack.

But were they to do so, even the most hapless, feckless Euros, then, would have to shun them utterly. The Iranians have achieved exactly nothing -- but look like what they are: thugs. And inept, Key Stone Kop thugs, at that.
