The other day, I received a snarky comment about how racist the U.S. is and how Americans killed TWO MILLION Vietnamese. It happens I'm on this other list put out by a old-time Socialist who just-so-hates-Trump that it has made her unhinged. Usually I ignore her, but she had sent around an article about BLM being nominated for the Noble Peace Prize (how double-speak Orwellian can you get???) and though I resisted it, I couldn't resist the snarky Vietnam comment one of her correspondents answered her with.
I wrote:

The Americans killed two million Vietnamese? Sheesh! What amateurs. Mao killed around 65 million of his fellow Chinese. Was that OK because they were merely Chinese killing Chinese, or was it OK because Mao was doing it for Communism?

It's
actually SO helpful for one to know what one is talking about. So I'll
waste my time and take a few minutes to try to set the record straight
for the people on this list.
Wikipedia (hardly a right-wing thing) lists the various estimates of how many Vietnamese died, and who killed whom, here. Blaming the U.S. for killing two million Vietnamese is dumping the high-end of all death speculations
all on Americans, which is both asinine and a lie. One should be
ashamed of spreading lies. Meanwhile, AFTER THE AMERICANS had gone,
Communist Vietnam came in and executed 65,000 Vietnamese, their own people, and sent 1 million to "re-education" camps, where 165,000 died: See HistoryLearningSite. And this article states that historians estimate as many as 1.5 million Vietnamese became "boat people" in a desperate effort to escape Communist Vietnam. No one really knows how many of those died.
So let's keep all this America-hate in some perspective, shall we?
Why the U.S. was involved in Vietnam
I
know your friend just insanely hates Donald Trump, which is a shame,
because she says she hates the big internationals and Globalist elites
but they're the ones funding the Democrat Party (and the "Uniparty",
those Republicans who are Deep Staters/Globalists). Regarding America's
involvement in the Vietnam Conflict, it was was totally a Democrat Party
war. In fact, it mirrors the earlier Korean War in which a Democrat
president (Truman) got us into a hopeless land war in Asia, and a
Republican (Eisenhower) got us out.
Jack
Kennedy got us into Vietnam because his only claim to fame (aside from
getting his PT boat run over by the Japanese in WWII) was being a true
"Cold War Warrior", and he felt he had to live up to it. Yet it was
Lyndon Baines Johnson who got us into Vietnam full force, and that
DEMOCRAT president, one of the most evil men ever to be president (just
as bad as FDR or Wilson) wanted to involve us in Vietnam because he had a
lot of money tied up in defense contractors, and was making himself
rich. Kennedy wanted a small-scale commando-style "special forces" kind
of war, such as the British had in Malaysia after WWII. But that wasn't
going to make Johnson his money. After the Deep State's assassination of
South Vietnam's president Ngo Dinh Diem on November 2, 1963 (Kennedy
had reluctantly approved, then was horrified at what happened),
President Kennedy decided to get the hell out of Vietnam. So the Deep
State/Lyndon Johnson assassinated Kennedy exactly 20 days after Diem's
murder (c'mon, the timing is astounding; if you think the two
assassinations weren't directly related, you must believe Joe Biden
actually won the U.S. election!).
So
much for Jack Kennedy. Then when his younger brother, Bobby Kennedy,
ran against Johnson (and Johnson's candidate once Johnson had dropped
out at the end of March, 1968), Bobby Kennedy was promptly assassinated
two months later (June 5, 1968). Johnson famously loathed the two
Kennedy brothers, and both loathed him. JFK was going to expose
Johnson's corrupt financial dealings and drop him from the 1964 ticket,
and word of this exposure leaked to Johnson, who didn't waste any time
seeing Jack bumped off; the Deep State was glad to help because they
hated Kennedy since he had excoriated and embarrassed the CIA for the
Cuban Bay of Pigs fiasco (April, 1961).
55,000
some American men were killed in that "ground war in Asia" for
Johnson's bank account. Richard
Nixon got us out of that war, and was himself promptly removed from
office for doing what Johnson had done in spades (spying on the opposing
campaign, etc., but Johnson modeled FDR's same actions and used regular government agencies like the
infamous FBI and IRS, not private "plumbers").
Every
president since Reagan left office in 1988 was a Deep State president,
except for Trump. Love them or hate them, both Reagan and Trump were
"Populist" presidents whom the Deep State loathed. They wanted to get
the U.S. out of the utter idiocy Globalist/Deep Staters keep getting the
U.S. into. Yet "the powers that be" only let Reagan run in 1980 (after
stopping him in 1976) when he accepted Deep Stater George H.W. Bush as
his vice-president, and then they tried to assassinate him
two months after his inauguration (March 30, 1981). Failing that, they
tied up his second four years in the pseudo-scandal known as
"Iran-Contra".
Almost
thirty years later, Donald Trump got in unexpectedly and the Deep
Staters tied up his first four years in the utter fraud of "Russian
Collusion" and then impeached him for a phone call. Now they've
impeached him AGAIN after he's be run out of office through outrageous
election fraud. More on that fraud comes out every day: see Mathematician Edward Solomon discusses how the election was stolen,
hence the Biden Administration's creation of an obscene police state,
the likes of which we haven't seen since Democrat Woodrow Wilson created
the worlds first Fascist state in 1917 (even before Mussolini invented
the word "Fascist"!).
YOU-ALL
HAVE TO UNDERSTAND: Average Americans like my family, co-workers,
friends, contacts, "blue-collar" types in the "Rust Belt" states, we ALL
hate all this Deep State/Globalist garbage. We are extremely angry. I'm
glad to see Peruvian judges calling the Globalist out on Covid.
Now
the Biden Administration will soon get the U.S. back into foreign wars
in the Mideast and exporting manufacturing jobs to China. The economy is
tanking, and Biden is crushing U.S. energy production in order to
justify his (and Obama's and the Deep State Bush's) Mideast wars. BLM, a
Marxist organization, and Antifa, another such group, the Democrat
Party's Brown Shirts, have pretty much destroyed great swathes of the
"Asphalt Plantation" Democrats keep African-Americans tied to. The whole
thing, the whole tragic, miserable story, from Democrats owning slaves
and starting the Civil War to keep them to then creating the Jim Crow
South to Johnson's "Great Society" that destroyed the Black Family to
all this Globalist guano today – it is all
loathsome, all idiotic, all unspeakably cruel and truly Fascistic, in
the sense Orwell said of Fascism: a boot stamping on the human face,
forever.
